Development of the new World Trade Center site in New York City includes numerous landscape elements. Pine & Swallow provided soil and horticultural support for landscape development, including soil design and specifications for streetscapes and general plantings in areas surrounding the Memorial site. Pine & Swallow also worked on Liberty Park on the roof of the World Trade Center’s Vehicle Security Center overlooking the 9/11 Memorial. Over-structure project conditions required design of ultra-lightweight growing media including structural soil.
