PWP Landscape Architecture

Situated on 200-acres of landscaped lawns, meadows, and woods, Glenstone presents rotating exhibitions of modern and contemporary art that include a selection of outdoor sculptures. Design strategies for an expansion emphasized creation of an ecologic and sustainable landscape of walking paths, bridges, water garden, and restored meadows and woodlands. Plans included high-use turf areas at the entrance, a green roof, vast meadow and grazing lands, and the planting of more than 6000 trees. Pine & Swallow designed economical soil blends utilizing onsite soils that were augmented specifically for the needs of each planting zone. Pine & Swallow evaluated soil submittals and provided consultations during construction.
